Gentle and comforting, red mandarin essential oil is often used in children, particularly as a natural support for attention deficit disorder (ADHD). It helps improve concentration, soothe restlessness, and promote restful sleep.

She is also recognized for:

Recommended dosage
• Broadcast: 30-minute slots
• Localized massage: 2 to 3 drops on the chest, up to 3 times a day

Botanical description
Native to Asia, the mandarin tree produces small citrus fruits with a mild, sweet fragrance. Red mandarin essential oil is obtained by cold-pressing the zest. Much loved by children for its fruity scent, it provides an immediate feeling of well-being.

Diffusion
A simple way to use pure essential oils while creating a pleasant atmosphere.
Diffusion purifies the air, destroys pathogenic germs and provides excellent protection against pollution, while strengthening the immune system.

Bath
Perfect for promoting relaxation and reducing daily stress.
Example: Dilute 10 to 15 drops of essential oil in a capful of bubble bath, neutral liquid soap or powdered milk to facilitate dispersion in the bath water.

Massage
Massage relaxes, tones and warms muscles, tendons and ligaments using gentle or firmer pressure.
Example: Dilute 10 to 15 drops of lavender or black spruce essential oil in a quality vegetable oil.

Friction
Vigorous rubbing movements to allow the essential oils to penetrate.
Ideal for lower back, joint or muscle pain.

Local (topical) application
Targeted application on a small area to act directly.
Suitable for: acne, bedsores, warts, cuts, burns, scars, etc.

Inhalation
Effective method for respiratory infection, congestion or sore throat.
Example: In a glass bowl, mix 5 drops of white spruce or eucalyptus radiata essential oil, then pour 250 ml of hot (not boiling) water. Inhale the steam.
